January Meeting & Farewell

Happy New Year, dear writers! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and experience God’s many blessings in the coming year. As I announced at the December meeting, I am stepping away from this role of leading the group to focus on my growing bakery and continue to do freelance editing. It was a tough decision to leave after twelve years of being with you, but God’s has a new season for me.

Peggy Morris is taking over the group and will be a great leader for you. Thank you, Peggy, for your commitment to our group and to the next season this brings.

Thank you, all, for the generous gift card. What an unexpected blessing. It has been my pleasure to lead you. I have loved reading your stories and seeing the passion God puts in your hearts. You are all gifted by Him. May God bless you as you continue to pursue your calling to write for Him. And please stay in touch.

Happy New Year, everyone. This is a reminder our writers’ meeting will be January 6th, Friday, at Panera Bread in Dana Park on the northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline. We’ll meet in the back room at 9:00 AM. Be sure and look for us there.

Thank you so much for all of you who contributed to the gift card for Jenne and for meeting with us at Jenne’s last month to see her beautiful home.

We’ll discuss some things about the group and connect with other writers. Sometimes writing is a singular process, and it’s great to know there are other writers who are struggling with the same things that we do. Be sure and bring critiques: three pages, 1-inch margins. You can respond to let us know who we can look for. See you next Friday. Happy New Year to you.

December Meeting

Our next meeting is December 2 at 9:00 AM, and we are finally back at my house after more than eight months of renovations. Let me know if you need the address in Chandler near Gilbert and Ocotillo.

October Meeting

Happy fall, friends! Our next meeting is Friday, 10/7/22, at 9:00 AM. After six months, my home is still being remodeled (sigh), so the meeting will be held at The Grove Coffee Shop, 2777 S. Gilbert Rd., Chandler, AZ 85286.

Our flooring will probably be installed the first week in November, so we’ll still have to meet at The Grove. But I plan to have December’s meeting back at my house in Chandler.

May Meeting

Our next meeting is this Friday, 5/6, at 9 AM. My house is still a construction zone, so we will meet at The Grove Coffee Shop, 2777 S. Gilbert Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. Unfortunately, I cannot attend.

April Meeting

Our next meeting is this Friday, 4/1. My house is torn up from the remodel, so we need to meet elsewhere. The Grove Coffee Shop is open at 7 AM, which would be a great spot to meet instead. The address is 2777 S. Gilbert Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. I won’t be able to make it this time though.

Please let me know if you would like to meet as a group (without me) at The Grove at 9 AM on Friday to do critiques. Leave your RSVP in the comments, and check back on Thursday to confirm. If we cancel, I’ll send out a separate email.
